I would encourage this lady to ask herself who can limit almighty God? Why would He use dreams and visions throughout the Old and the New Testament and suddenly end it? It makes no sense. Similar lists appear in Ephesians 4:7-13 and Romans 12:3-8. The Bible states that the gifts of the Spirit are special abilities provided by the Holy Spirit to the body of Christ that enable us to do the work He has assigned the church. We should all recognize that the gift of prophecy is not something new even in the New Testament, but has been exercised throughout the entirety of biblical history.

In 1 st Corinthians Paul speaks of the gift of prophecy. The Prophet Joel wrote, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh”, and “your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28).ĭreams and visions are direct manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as they are listed in the Bible. Here is what the Bible states concerning dreams and visions from God to occur in the latter days. I believe the Bible is the inerrant word of God. A lady wrote concerning my post yesterday and said: “I don’t believe in visions, but we do need to pray for Gods wisdom.”
